Hello, my name is Renee Gross. I’m a reporter and producer committed to telling stories about and for underserved communities. I’ve traveled from remote Alaska villages to old Greek cemeteries, covering everything from families struggling to advocate for a new school to a Jewish community recovering lost tombstones.
My work has appeared on Weekend Edition, The World, Marketplace, Studio 360, Latino USA, Gravy, Life of the Law, The Splendid Table, The California Report, The Podcast Playlist and many other places. My stories have earned numerous awards from both the Los Angeles and Alaska press clubs.
Currently, I work for KBBI, an NPR station, in Homer, Alaska. Previously, I interned as a reporter for KPCC and as a producer for Michigan Radio. I have a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in women's studies from the University of Michigan.
